It’s so easy to become absorbed in all the choice that India can offer that sometimes we forget that sometimes, there is nothing better than chilling out for a few days, recharging the batteries, listening to the sounds of the ocean lapping at the edge of the beach. India has around 7500 km of coast line, now that’s a lot of beach! We also have some wonderful islands and atolls which provide the ultimate in escapism, The Laccadive Islands and The Andaman and Nicobar Islands being the better known. Goa of course is perhaps India’s most famous beach destination, North Goa providing markets and parties as well as beaches and south Goa being quieter for those truly wanting to relax. Kerala also has a selection of wonderful beaches, whether the famous ones at Kovalam and Marari or the more off beat and less discovered ones in the north of the state. Want to know more about these?
