Overview

The Golden Triangle tour is one of the most popular tours in India which comprises visit to cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. In this tour we also explore the mystic city of Varanasi and the extraordinary city of Nawabs – Lucknow.The sojourn starts with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Delhi, moving on to the Pink City of Jaipur; its exuberance reflects in its forts and palaces which take you back to the historical and extraordinary world of the Rajputs. We will then move on to experience one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal, an epitome of love, which will leave you spellbound with its beautiful architecture.

Moving on, you will explore Lucknow, the city of Nawabs and kababs. It is a unique blend of ancient, colonial and oriental architecture. Dive into history with magnificent architecture of Bara Imambara and Rumi Darwaza and sample some of the delicious street food (day depending).

Spend the last leg of the journey in the spiritual city of Varanasi also known as the city of salvation; here you can be a part of Ganga Arti which takes place every evening on the banks of the River Ganges andis a truly extraordinary and mesmerizing spectacle.

Tour Details

Day 1 - Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at the Delhi International Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Delhi is India’s capital and a major gateway to the country. You will have free time on your own to adjust to the new time zone. Overnight will be at Delhi.

Day 2 - In Delhi

After breakfast, start your day full day Delhi Sightseeing. The tour begins in Old Delhi with the Jama Masjid, Asia’s largest mosque and experience the chaotic local life of Old Delhi with an exploration of the bustling, colorful local bazaars of Chandni Chowk on a cycle rickshaw. Drive by the Red Fort before driving to New Delhi to continue with Raj-Ghat, and the famous landmarks of New Delhi including India Gate, President's House, Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings and stop for photo opportunity there. Later you can visit Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, which many people consider to be the precursor to the Taj Mahal. If time permits, visit the National Museum andLotus temple. An ideal place for meditation, this Bahai House of worship is open to people of all religions. Overnight will be in Delhi.

Day 3 - Delhi to Jaipur By road 230 kms / 5hrs

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to Jaipur. Check in to the hotel. In the evening, explore colorful bazaars of the old city and enjoy dinner with noble family. Overnight will be in Jaipur.

Day 4 - In Jaipur

After a leisurely breakfast, start your guided tour of Jaipur which includes a visit to the Amber Fort (by jeep ride to the fort entrance) and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the winds). Continue your visit to the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar. Evening at leisure at the hotel.

Day 5 - Jaipur to Agra By road 260kms / 6hrs

After breakfast, drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. As you arrive in the city you may chose to visit the Baby Taj or the ITMAD-UD-ULLAH - the interiors of which are considered to be more intricate and beautiful than the Taj Mahal itself. Later in the evening, proceed to visit the spectacular red sandstone Agra Fort, part fort, part palace and part prison the walks of this magnificent fort hold many stories. Overnight will be in Agra.

Day - 6 Agra to Lucknow By road 335kms / 5hrs

Enjoy an early morning visit to breathtaking Taj-Mahal. Return to the hotel for breakfast before checking out and driving to Lucknow. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax at the hotel. Overnight will be in Lucknow.

Day - 7 In Lucknow

After breakfast, proceed for guided tour of Lucknow - a daylong tour of this unique city visiting attractions like the exceptional Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Clock Tower, Rumi Darwaza and British Official Residence, the scene of the Mutiny of 1857. Evening is at leisure. You may choose to enjoy a walk through the bustling colorful markets and try some of the street food for which Lucknow is famous. Overnight will be in Lucknow.

Day 8 - Lucknow to Varanasi By road 290kms / 6hrs

After breakfast, proceed to Varanasi, India’s oldest living city and the most spiritual destination for Hindus as to die here is to attain Moksha. It is a fairly long drive and so there will be time to relax after checking in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy ‘Ganga Aarti Ceremony 'at the River Ganges, during which worshippers pray near the water by the light of candles and lanterns. It is a mesmerizing and unforgettable experience. Overnight will be in Varanasi.

Day 9 - In Varanasi

Early in the morning, drive to Dashashwamedh Ghat for a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges River and catch a glimpse of devotees at the prayer, this is one of the most memorable experiences and is not to be missed. Return to hotel for breakfast followed by guided city tour of Varanasi. The city tour takes you to Banaras Hindu University, Golden Temple and Bharat Mata Temple which is dedicated to Mother India. In the afternoon, continue your adventure to Sarnath (The Deer Park) where the Buddha preached his first sermon and Sarnath Museum (closed on Fridays). Overnight will be at Varanasi.

Day 10 - Varanasi to Delhi By flight

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to Delhi. Depending upon your international flight timings either you will be transferred to your hotel for freshening up or you will be driven directly to the Delhi International airport to take a flight back home with sweet memories of the tour.
