Cochin – Cherai Beach – Mararikulam – Backwaters – Varkala – Kovalam - Trivandrum

Kerala, with its long coastline along with a variety of sun-kissed golden sandy beaches amidst towering palms facing the sea, is a perfect holiday destination. In this sojourn, re-discover yourself along the miles of idyllic palm-fringed beaches with activities like kayaking, wind sailing, sea surfing, sunbathing and exploring fishing villages. The tour strikes the perfect balance of action and relaxation.

Your journey starts in Cochin, which brings together the old world charm of the erstwhile Portuguese colony and the modern day city life. Thereafter, head to the idyllic beach Cherai located around 40km drive from Cochin. This attractive beach is on Vypin Island and is ideal for swimming. The tour then takes you to one of the calmest beaches of Kerala in Mararikulam, known for the picturesque fishing village. In Mararikulam you can experience the laidback life of the beach town, rejuvenate yourself with an Ayurvedic massage or simply stroll in the local fisherman villages.

Now it is time to board the enchanting houseboat and begin cruise along the serene backwaters. As you cruise along, you will witness life in the backwater villages of Alleppey. You will travel down the small canals dotted with houses, paddy fields, coconut trees, marketplaces, and temples. Watch local people engaging in a variety of daily activities from fishing to boat-making.

After backwater cruise, explore the finest beaches of Kerala in Varkala and Kovalam. Varkala is a calm, secluded beach known for its white, silvery stretch of clear sands and spring mineral. Kovalam, having three crescent-shaped beaches, offers one of the most splendid and alluring beach holidays. The massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters which is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and surfing.
